We are also a fully remote team of 6, working with a high level of autonomy.

About the role

We’re looking for a US-based talented, highly ambitious and autonomous founding sales hire who wants to join a very early stage team as the first sales hire and design a sales motion from the ground-up alongside closing customers. Most leads are generated for you via marketing and partnership referrals - you will be doing little outbound prospecting. You have either worked in very early stage environments before as the first 2-3 sales hires or you have some other relevant exposure to early stage environments. Ideally, you’ll have a strong interest in the AI landscape and GTM technology. As the first sales hire, you’ll work closely with the founder to evolve the GTM motion from founder-led sales which has had a lot of success but can’t scale. While there will be very little processes in place, we are looking for someone with an analytical mind who can implement lightweight processes as they work on closing deals. You must be curious about company building and ready to take on more than the traditional responsibilities of an Account Executive. Lastly, you must be willing to work very hard and comfortable having your contributions highly visible to everyone at the company.

We work remotely, so the ability to over-communicate and communicate clearly is really important. We rely heavily on Slack and documentation and meet once a day. We work with high autonomy and trust, ensuring we’re available to help and support other team members as needed. We try to meet at least once or twice a year in a single location - depending on where you are there may be opportunities to do this more often.
